Ok so i dove in never poured a soap in my life...

cold processing soap how hard could it be.....Um ok i failed miserably...

i buggered up the weights and they were already mixed in the pot and i had not a clue how much was of what oil in there so thought...well cant use it now may as well put some lye in there....and well it was all going nice...got a nice trace..it looked nice and creamy and smooth....80 degrees in goes my fragrance oil and that is where the fun begun..perhaps my oil was cruddy....

I used the right pot with no non stick lining however no one mentioned the end of the stick mixer steal part being covered in some coating coming off so i didnt even think of it...i couldnt work out why after adding the fragrance the end of the stick began to sizzle...wooops anyway then the fun started...Ricing..i now know personally what ricing is....eeek looks awful i stuffed it in the mould and cleaned up my kitchen feeling miserable...

so now if anyone can direct me to a "simple" cold processing recipe ill go back to basics...i thought i knew everything after you tubing it for hours and reading anything i could get my hands on

ill let you know how i go again tomorrow

ps the verification codes on this site are sooo hard to get past this is my fourth try....
