old soap

I was going through my crafting supplies and found some old melt and pour soap that looks a bit dried out. Not cracked, but maybe more rubbery that fresh stuff. It is also a bit amber in color. I can not remember if that was the original color or not. Is there anyway to use this for crafting soap or is it beyond hope?

You can try it. You may need to add just a tad bit of water or if you have vegetable glycerin, that would be better.

When you melt it, cover it to keep the moisture in since it's already so dried out.

I only have enough base for about 2 bars. So I tried it. It kept bubbling over, especially after I added a little water. Even on 30% power and for only a few seconds. I'll see how it is when I take it out of the mold. Looks a little funky, but I bet it will work just fine in the shower
