Greetings and salutations!

I keep finding myself directed to this site when searching for soap-making answers, and I figured, well, ma'am, perhaps it's time you become a part of the community? Before that.. maybe well over a decade ago, my husband and I decided to try soapmaking for ourselves. We had some fun and then life happened and we had to put that aside. But we kept the molds and some other materials.

I've been making HP beeswax soaps for my church's social justice program for a bit over a year. I use the recipes and materials handed to me, and the soaps. Just. Work. They're lovely, lovely soaps. But the person I make them for is set in their ways and isn't very interested in things like new fragrances or combinations. A friend has started her own business and wants to include soaps in her offerings, and she's going to sell some of the beeswax soaps I make, but she also wants things that we don't make so I've decided to dive in and do it myself.

I've got the acronym thread bookmarked (but I still have questions) and I've begun the attempt at devising my "own" recipe based off one of the recipes we used, and.. well, let's just say it's a process. I'll be posting a thread asking for advice on how to proceed.

In the meantime, thanks for this forum and thanks for having me!
