Ok another question

I just did a batch with CO,OO, and Crisco... added orange and lavender FO... It was at light trace when I added FO...1.1oz then it started seperating and chunking.... I SB smooth and poured into mold.... Seems to be ok, but want to know what the heck was happening... Do you think it will be ok?

I had a batch do that too. My batch turned out just fine.

Thanks Kristin, only now looked on it and it seems to just a bit of oil on top, maybe tommorrow it will be better........(fingers and toes crossed)LOL

I had that happen. It left a thin layer of FO on the surface of the soap but once rubbed off it never came back and the soap hasn't shown any negative characteristics or further sign of the FO slick.

Sometimes strange things happen when you put in the additives.
