Oh No Not That

I made some soap put it in molds and it puffed up like a loaf of bread and cracked do the middle.:lolno: I ended up putting a top on the mold and clamped it down. Came out fine.
What would cause that:?:

And I guess it might have been a little hot come to think of it.

Yeah, definitely sounds like classic signs of overheating. Were you trying to encourage gel in any other way?
