Gaye Levy, one day at a time,, all I am saying , one day at a time.
The Joy of giving is different to whom you give. When you give to a child , its the sparkle in there eyes that is fulfilling. When you give to an adult it is the sparkle in your heart that counts. For some, with a heart of a child, you will get fireworks.,, Oh god ,I feel sick, I hate being mushy, can I get back now to being grumpy. Thanks.

"...specially those who don't use the term YMMV...."

Apparently you and I will have to agree to disagree on this point. YMMV is a good shorthand for a cumbersome, convoluted explanation, so the acronym comes in awfully handy from time to time.

Here's a warm welcome anyways. I hope you have a good time here.
DeeAnna, I will never disagree with you. You are our beacon in a bubbly, foamy, sudsy sea of soapmaking.

You are a hoot!
I also give soap to friends and relatives and rarely (like twice?) get feedback. Your words of wisdom were just what I needed. Have a Happy and blessed new year.

Kiti, I think 2.25" is a nice size of a shaving soap puck. 1" is good for a shaving "stick". By the way, shaving sticks are almost never talked about in this forum, while I know there are men who exclusively use shaving sticks for shaving. hmmm, a niche segment idea for a soaper !!
Thank you for your welcome.

Thank you microchick, Happy new year to you too. A sincere thank you and best wishes.

OK, so what is a shaving stick? You got my curiosity up!

Hi Kiti, Shaving Stick is a shaving soap formed or grated and pressed or poured, in a plastic container that looks like a Deodorant Stick, actually some soapers use an empty deodorant container and place their soap in it, or buy new containers for that purpose. Then the way to use it is simple, you just apply the stick on the face or whatever part to be shaved with a thin and light layer, then use a shaving brush and face lather, you can also work the area with wet fingers to lather the soap.

Very interesting! I will have to keep that in mind as I start up the "Men's Soap" line.
