Obligatory newbie post

Hi there!

I enjoy making melt and pour soaps, angling towards doing hot process eventually once I feel I can safely use lye and whatnot in the house. I'm still teaching myself the specifics of the safety involved in that.

I'm a 31 year old current stay at home mom. In my free time, I like making soaps, drawing, writing, and watching My Little Pony.

It really is! I got into mostly due to mine and my son's skin sensitivities-seemed to make more sense to make our soap myself so I could be sure I wouldn't accidentally wind up in the hospital, after all! Making the pretty soaps is terribly addictive though, haha!
