One other thing I've noticed very consistently is if I don't gel a soap, right at about the 24 hour mark, it starts to generate some heat in the mold but won't go to full gel (barring problematic FO's, sugars etc..). If I've already unmolded it and/or cut, the soap and even individual bars will start warming up. Most times, it will weep a bit of lye water but not gel and then within an hour or two, they will cool down. It's happened over and over and the timing is consistently around 24 hours.
Has anyone else noticed that?

I have had that happen. It's like delayed sponification. Maybe after all the brunettes and red heads get taken it heats up with all the left over blondes
