This isn't what I had planned for this soap. The FO caused acceleration and I had to quickly glob it in the mold.

What I wanted was a top like this with a wispy pink swirl inside the soap.

Aw on their own those are cute! They look like a party!

Those hearts are harder than they look! The batter has to be somewhat thick to work, but since they are last the batter has often set up more than you want by then.

Whats a good way to thin up that batter that you save till the end so it doesn't go all blobby? Add a drop or two of oil maybe? Pull some out just at emulsion?

it is such a HOT pink! what did you use to achieve that lovely neon?

I agree with Seawolfe, those lil hearts aren't as easy as they look. slow tracing recipe is a must, as you are doomed if the batter thickens. been there, done that, i had my share of "failed hearts" too :D

The bit I separated for the hearts was unscented, it stayed thin way after the rest was too thick to swirl.

I used tutti frutti blast neon powder from crafters choice. The neon powders are such fun colors.

I love them! And I love that color!

Do they still sell that? I was searching the WSP website to get the ingredients for that one so I could add it to a recipe I made once with it and couldn't find it any more.

I love it! What a fun, springtime pink. I haven't tried those hearts in soap but usually do them on my sister's birthday cheesecake. I'm sure it's much simpler in cheesecake batter than soap batter, lol. I also like your glitter on top, it really adds to the fun!

Those darned florals are so finicky! Sorry they didn't come out the way you planned.
