but it's soap!

My family likes to indulge us in our wild hairs, last year it was my husband and his bees. This year it's me and my soap. For my birthday, my MIL bought me a few silicone molds, a 1lb M&P base, some soap colorant, and other various soap making tools. Since I cannot find lye anywhere local and had to order it online, I tried my hand at making some M&P soap. I should have done 2 batches. 1 batch blue and minty (scented with peppermint oil) and the 2nd batch yellow/orange with the rolled oats. Instead, I have a blue, minty, and oaty bars.

I think I ended up with about 4 or 5 drops in 1 lb of M&P. Some of the green color is light reflecting off of our Candy Apple Green kitchen walls, they are more blue in person.

@not_ally, yep that was my FIL. He is nice, just a little dense sometimes.

He does sound nice, really. I don't know if you watch "Parenthood" on TV, but from what you've said he kind of reminds me of the dad/grandad on there, Zeke. Bluff and sometimes too straightforward, but good hearted.
