Yes. The only difference might be in the lye concentration you choose to use. HP recipes generally use a LOT more water, because a lot of it will evaporate during the cooking process, and you don't want to end up with dry bits of soap when you are done cooking. CP recipes use a lot less water to reduce the likelihood of overheating, soda ash, and warping.

Thanks! Do you suppose it would work to use the ratio of lye to water from another cold process recipe and apply that to the recipe I want to use?

Use a lye calculator to make sure the lye is correct! Most lye calculators have a way of adjusting the water amount, whether you want water:lye ratio, lye as a percent of the solution, or water as a percent of oil, and there are a lot of free lye calculators out there. This forum has one, Wholesale Supplies Plus website has one, Brambleberry website has one, if you search "soap calc" or "lye calculator" there will be a lot of results and most of them will be free. Whatever you do, NEVER transfer lye measurements from one recipe to another, or you may end up with either soap that will burn you or oily material that doesn't have enough soap to clean well.
