Made two batches of soap this week and I L.O.V.E. it!!! Having trouble finding different types of oils & EO's & FO's. Does everyone order theres online or do you have a special place to purchase them. Hope to learn alot.

Hi Lori,

Welcome to the forum! :D

I used to buy my oils from Wal-Mart and grocery stores but now I buy most of my oils at soaperschoice.com. I buy FOs from several different suppliers but most of the FOs I bought from Peak's and some from Nature's Garden. EOs have gotten so expensive that I haven't bought any for a couple of years. I can't really recommend any suppliers although I do like the quality of EOs from New Directions Aromatics.

Welcome, Lori!

You can usually find lots of oils/fats around town if you don't want to commit to buying in bulk just yet:

Coconut oil- can be found at Walmart, Asian markets, and even some grocery stores down the baking aisle.

Castor oil - can be found in 32 oz bottles at places like WholeFoods Mkt., Sprouts, and also some health food stores.

Lard- grocery stores, Walmart

Palm oil- Spectrum brand at WholeFoods Mkt., Sprouts, some grocery stores, Asian markets

Olive Oil- Costco, Sam's Club

High Oleic Sunflower oil- WholeFoods Mkt.

For quality FOs and EOs I would order online. There are many wonderful online vendors who cater to handmade soapmakers. I like to use these suppliers:

Peaks

Daystar

Nature's Garden

Oregon Trails

SweetCakes

TheScentWorks

WholeSaleSuppliesPlus

MajesticMountainSage

There are lots of other trustworty suppliers too, but these are the ones I use the most. Hopefully more will chime in.
