Hi all! I did manage to go ONE day without soaping. It nearly killed me.
So, today I made up for it! I made strawberry, rosemary verbena, almond joy, cantaloupe, lovespell, and black cherry soaps. I also made some whipped body butters ... orange ginger, and a sleepy one (can't remember the exact name).
I also took inventory of everything I'm taking to my Fri/Sat/Sun shows ... I'm taking 300 bars, 4 cakes, and I can't remember how many lotions and scrubs. I want to make some more lotions tomorrow morning before we leave to set up. I'll just have to see how tired I am after working all night!
So ... now on to my bargains! I needed some cute fabric to put over the tops of my lotion/scrub containers. Joann's had flannels on sale for $1.49/yard, so I picked out 4 yards of a cute lavender/white gingham. So, the cutter lady didn't want to package up the remnants on the end of the bolt, so she gave them to me for free! I ended up with about 6 yards! Yay!
Then, I found some ribbon ... 10 yards for $0.50 ... and that's regular price! Went a little crazy, and got about 20 spools of that. But I'll use it to wrap each bar with, and put around the tops of my lotions/scrubs. Then I went to the cake baking isle, and got a spiffy plastic brownie cutter ... looks to be the perfect shape to cut my loaf pan size soaps! Yay! And it's plastic. Then I found some wedding clearance table placecards ... I'm going to print the name of each soap on them and put them up for display. I got a few other odds and ends also .. all for soaping of course! Anywho, I get to the register and I had their ad, with a ton of coupons on the front and back. I wasn't sure which one to use, so I told the cashier. She said "don't worry about it" ... okay. So after ringing up my items, she proceeded to scan EVERY one of the coupons! There was about 15 of them! She said the register knows which ones to take and which ones not to take! So, I ended up getting my total order about 50% off! Only $22 for EVERYTHING!!! Yowza!!!
Okay ... that's all I have for now!
