Are those Elvgren girls? How in the world did you get a license to use the images?
They're fantastic, my little brother is a huge collector of Pin Ups. He'd love them!

I have a website that stockpiles images for use...there are a lot of them there
Also there is a law firm Brown & Bigelow that holds the copyright on almost all vintage art....many of the great pieces are now public domain. Not the great stuff like Vargas and Elvgren...but lots of public domain image for us little guys...I'm working with them to point me in the right direction
I attempted get permission to use some of those images myself on image soap a couple years back. Most of the copyrghts are held by the magazines that ran the images on their covers and they won't let loose.
well the truth is that many, many of the copyrights have expired, making them public domain. This firm I mentioned specializes in this, so they can identify which are and are not. Nothing is ever simple, or easy in this arena!
that is true....original copyright law was never intended to prevent use forever of someone's work. Originally, the intention was to keep the rights for the life of the artist plus 70 years. Many of the older works failed to renew copyright, thus falling into public domain. Once in public domain, they cannot be copyrighted again.
For the ones that are not in public domain...you have to purchase the rights to use for a specific thing and for a specific amount of time.
