Hello! *waves*

Thanks to maiseycat for the referral to this forum!

My name is Victoria and I make soap under the store name Maitri Bath & Body. I started researching CP soapmaking last summer and began making my own soap in the fall. I have a soap guild website and facebook page, but have not sold any yet (my cousin doesn't count!). I'm still just learning and perfecting my processes.

I am set up with a table at the local market in January and February, and a vendor fair in February, so far for 2013.

I am happy to find a forum to hang out in! Full disclosure - I was hanging out at another soapmaking forum, and I took something that someone said harshly, and left in a huff. I am too embarrassed to go back there :) I have learned from the experience and now take all advice with a grain of salt and realize that not everyone is going to be nicey-nice and roses in their posts. Trying to grow a thicker skin! Feel free to smack me upside the head if I ever get uppity here.

Welcome to the forum :) Did you guys down there in Iowa end up with a blizzard? I'm up in WI & the weather was awful yesterday, yuck!

I just "liked" your FB page. Your blue & blackish Green Tea Soap is gorgeous.

We're pretty nice here compared to a lot of other forums. We don't usually smack people upside the head, but if you get too out of hand I might whip you with a wet noodle ;)

Noooo not the noodle!! :)

Yes we spent yesterday holed up at home - me and the kiddos! Could have been much worse - we only lost power for about 2 hours from 8-10 pm. Friends of mine in town were without power all day.

Thanks for the like! That one turned out really well, it surprised me :)

I noticed on the other forum that they really discouraged newbie questions. You had to do an exhaustive search before you could ask your question, to make darn sure that it hadn't already been answered. I'm very happy to see that newbie questions are welcomed here, and I will help to answer as much as I can (being a newbie myself still)!

Yay! Glad to see you made it here! I have found this to be a really supportive and helpful community. You're going to love it here :)

Hi Victoria,

Welcome to the forum! :D

All your soaps are pretty but I have to agree with Genny that the Green Tea is gorgeous. I love the colors in it.

Love the green tea too, I've been after a turquoise like that - could you tell me what one it is please if you don't mind sharing.
