Can you re melt the CP soap and use it for melt and pour soap making??

Whats the deal with all the melt and pour soap having SLS in it because i am reading that it isnt safe for you?? What can you do about that?

You can "rebatch" the cp soap. Not the same as m&p. I've only tried to rebatch a couple of times...w/o success... but there are many people that do rebatch with success.

You can purchase M&P soap without the SLS. I think Bramble Berry sells it. It is up to you whether or not to use them. Some people care, some don't. Everyone has their own opinion. I think the ones without it are more mild and less stripping of oils.

I'm sure it's possible to create a recipe which is re-meltable, but for some reason people don't seem motivated to do that.

There are some great books out there for those who are just getting started.

I have read others pursuits to create this in the past... It takes a great mind with a lot of patience... And without the industrial machinery that processes it into smoothness, its virtually impossible to recreate by hand...

Unless, theres a secret out there somewhere, ya never know...
