I made this recipe today HP. About 4 pounds.

Olive Oil pomace 30% SF 6%
Lard 25%
Coconut Oil 20%
Cocoa Butter 10%
Castor Oil 10%
Shea Butter 5%

I used ground Annato 1.5 t. for color and Plumeria FO. Molded in two Pringle's cans lined with Vellum. When I was finished I scraped the crock pot and got a small ball of soap. I used it to clean some of my tools and my hands. It made nice bubbles and felt good on my hands. This recipe shows as creamier on Soap Calc. than the last batch and I noticed that about it when I tried it. No zap. This stuff doesn't taste nearly as bad as store bought soap!

I looked on the manufacturer's web site for the FP of the FO that I have but I didn't find that info. there. Not sure if the fragrance will hold.

Hoping that the Pringle's cans work as well with this as they did with the CP that I molded that way. Now I wait for cooling.

I'll post pictures when I get it unmolded and cut.

Well this morning I took this batch out of the molds. The Pringle's can and vellum thing doesn't work as well with HP as it did with CP. It was obvious as soon as I added the FO that it accelerated the process. I had to get it into the molds ASAP. It was pretty thick when I put it in there.
The exterior stuck to the vellum a bit and there were air bubbles around the outside. The annato colorant that had been a really cool rusty red, turned to a color that I have only previously seen in a diaper. My son compared it to earwax. That said, it smells good and the bars are harder than the previous recipe, which is something I wanted. I like the recipe and I will make it again with no or better colorant.
Here in this one you can see the nice red color as the soap cooks.

Here is one of the logs unmolded.

Here it is cut.

The lather is bubbly and creamy. My hands are soft after using it. It's too ugly to give to people but I will happily use it myself. I'm happy that my recipe worked like I planned with regard to hardness, cleansing and conditioning. Now to just work on making it look pretty.
