I only got a partial gel on the batch, and as you can see, near the curls it didn't gel but between the curls it did for the top bar (which was in the center of my mold). Popular opinion on the CP form is that's a cool effect.. Maybe when I do CP curls I should freeze them and keep the oven a little warmer (I only had it around 100 F) to make sure the gel is complete.

On the bottom is a MP curl I put in to see what would happen. It was near the edge so only a little bit of the top of the bar actually gelled. When it was in the mold, a couple pinprick holes in the top of the MP leaked a little, but not much. I forgot to make sure the colorants I had wouldn't migrate (I used celestial colors), and so the MP color is migrating into the CP. Which is another unexpected but neat effect. I'm thinking of maybe picking up some neon colors and intentionally having them migrate like this, to make sort of a neon "glow" around the curls.... Have to make sure to put it in the freezer to prevent the gel, I don't want an uneven look and if I had to force a gel with the MP it probably wouldn't be pretty...

Anyone have an idea what scent would go well with neon???
