They aren't perfect, and I of course cut the OMH too soon, but I'm actually happy with today's results. More pictures and blabbering on the blog post.

This was Peak's Cranberry Apple Marmalade that riced as other posters experienced - my first (yay I'm a real soaper now :p) I HPed it and ended up with unricy soap.

This is SWEET CAKES (edited cause I wrote Peak's) OMH - YUM. Love this scent ITP swirl, rolled oats on top that I'm not sure about. Thoughts?

Thank you :)

My 16 year old daughter saw the OMH and ordered me to get vanilla caramel swirl ice cream the next time I go grocery shopping LOL

They both smell soooooo fantastic. I'm willing to use the ricer over and over again it is just perfect. I've only smelled 3 OMHs (Oregon Trail, BB, and Peak) but this one is the best. BB's is really good for a more almondy scent though.

I like them both - especially the green Apple one. Nice save! I had to HP a botched batch recently and yours came out pretty smoothly.

I did an oatmeal soap with oats on the top almost a year ago. Nothing funky happened to the oats although they're the slow cook kind.

Good job on the cranberry apple. It is a pretty green and makes me think of green apples.

Your oatmeal bar is gorgeous. I love the swirl and the oatmeal on top is a nice touch, IMO. I haven't tried Peak's OMH. I'll have to give it a try because so far I haven't found one I like.

Thanks everyone :) I can't decide which one I like more. The combination of the 2 scents in the kitchen (they'll get moved to the soap closet tomorrow) is amazing. I can't stop sniffing LOL

Hazel. I'm so dumb.

It's SWEET CAKES OMH. I don't think Peak even has one.

Thank you guys :)

FreeRabbit - I can't seem to get any swirl except ITP to work out at all. YouTube has fantastic videos showing the process, try this one - [ame="http://youtu.be/xCruun5ZoVg"]http://youtu.be/xCruun5ZoVg[/ame]

The swirl in the OMH is gorgeous! I never thought of swirling it and always just do boring brown when I make it That looks sooooooo great!

You're not dumb. It's easy to get in a hurry and make a typo. I do it all the time. :D

I'll have to try the Sweek Cakes OMH one of these days.

I don't think I've ever seen a prettier oatmeal soap!
I really love the apple-green color you got on the Cranberry-Apple soap, too. I love that scent, it is soo nice. Great soaps, Amy!

Love the OMH swirl. what color did you use to make this swirl if you don't mind me asking. i think it looks good enough to eat.

Thank you :)

The brown is cocoa powder (the lighter color is uncolored). I've used it many times and love the shade it gives. A little goes a long way!
