Stuck in my head
So for whatever reason, my pink sugar soap, turned orange. I'm hoping after the gel stage and time, it will morph back to pink.
I used Ultramarine Pink (quite a bit) and also added body safe glitter - in the pot looked GORGEOUS - poured in mold and ended up like this. LOL
Oh well.
I'll post pics once they are out of the mold too. I used the vanilla stablizer and am hoping that will help stave off any browning as well.

Oh and the little pinkish silicone molds are roses and the little blue one is hearts.

FOs can be so weird. WSP crazy caramel corn turns bright pink on me to start then turns tan. It looks good even if the FO is confused lol... can't wait to see what it ends up looking like.

The Pink Sugar FO I use always turns yellow on me right after pour. Your's is probably orange because of the pink you added. It should morph back to pink as it sets up, mine always does. I use BC vanilla stabilizer as well.

Pink sugar contains a lot of vanilla & vanilla turns various shades of dark, mucky, brown, tan, cream, amber, etc. The orange is a combo of that mucky brown & the coloring you added.

Even though I used a vanilla stabilizer?
I knew PS had vanilla in it and is famous for turning brown which is why I used the vs.
The soap pot has morphed from that mellow tangerine orange color to a very bright neon yellow - so it will be interesting to see what the color is going to be once I take the blankets off of it and unmold tomorrow evening. :)

what temp was the soap when you added the FO? You can always dub it "vanilla orange creamscicle"

Using VS is like using febreeze, sometimes it covers the odor and sometimes it doesn't. It depends on your brand of fo, brand of VS, how much of each and varios other factors.

Oh I love how soap has its own mind about things :0) brambleberrys Cedar and Saffron is amazing goes bright yellow and then slowly over cure turns brown :D
Will be interested to see how this one cures

 maybe we'll name it Orange Sugar...

I can't wait for a follow up pic!

haha - I like it - Orange Sugar! :)

As this is my Kelsei mold it's still in it. I probably won't unmold until tonight or tomorrow night. But yep, it's still orange.

Some of the roses (the silicone molds I unmolded yesterday) have a teensy tiny hint of pink on some of the petals, but you have to look really hard to see it. LOL
Oh well. These are just for me, so it's not that big of a deal, I just was hoping for a nice shimmering pink. In the pot the glitter was so pretty! Now you can't even see where I added it at all. :(

I've noticed some of mine change after I get them out of the mould, so they still might change back yet, still orange sugar sounds good.

I dont' think they will change back.
Even though it gelled completely all the way to the edges - there still shows a ring looking like it only went through a partial gel. :( And after getting them out of the mold last night they are still orange orange. LOL
And the ones out of the silicone mold that I took out on Sunday are still orange as well.

I will get them cleaned up after work tomorrow and post a final pic before I put them on the curing rack.

Thanks everyone!

I keep forgetting to update. I think with given some more time these may actually turn back to pink. I'm pretty sure I did lose the glitter - oh well, but every day they get to be a light "peach" instead of the vibrant orange they were.
The bars that is. The little roses and hearts are still just as orange as can be...
They've been cleaned up so maybe tonight when I get home and transfer them to my curing rack, I will take a pic and hopefully you can see the peach/pink that I'm seeing. ;)

I used VS with my Cake FO from WSP...it still turned a bit brown on me but then, over time, it turned dark brown around the edges and morphed into an almost hot pink in the center

Ugliest soap EVAR but oh man it smells good!
