Ok so I have used CPHP ever since I started, but I've been wanting to give CP a crack for ages. A week ago I tried my hand at CPOP for the first time.

Sorry for the graininess of the pic. The purple one is Lavender/Rosemary and the yellow is Lemongrass with a dash Litsea Cubeba. I got to really give my new beveler a whirl too!

I used green mica from BB in the lavender one, and swirled in a lighter purple. The green turned to doodoo brown immediately, and then the next day it was a deep burgundy color. It was actually pretty interesting. I don't think you can really tell the true shade of the soap from the pic but it's a pretty deep purple.

The yellow is natural with swirls of gold mica. The sparkle is beautiful but again, you can't really see it in the pic. I also added ground dry lemongrass that I chopped up in a coffee grinder.

These first two didn't turn out like I had planned but I'm happy with them. I made a pumpkin spice one that I should prolly just rebatch, it was such a complete failure, haha.

All things considered, I really like CPOP. There sure are a lot more factors to consider than with HP, in my opinion.

I'm impressed they look very professional, the edges are beautiful. Did you use a mould for them or did you do the edges with a soap beveler or free hand? very very nice, well done! :D

Edit to say I just re read and realised you used your beveler, they still look great.

beautiful soaps! what kind of beveler are you using? i have one of the mini-planers from ace hardware, but it is starting to fall apart, want to find a stainless model.

Great soap!! AND I want to know which beveler you used also!!! :D

My little beveler doesn't cut that deep - and I really like the look. So please share!!!

I agree with JudyMoody; very gorgeous, classy, high-end looking work. You should be very proud!

Thanks, guys! Y'all are sweet.

This is the soap beveler that I used: http://www.soap-making-resource.com/soa ... oapbeveler

There was a bit of a learning curve to it, but now it's super easy. There are two grooves for a smaller or larger bevel. I would say get something else if you want a planer, though. The blade has a slight gradient to it so you won't get super straight edges from planing. It can work in a pinch. I love it for the bevels, though.

It was about 40 bucks, but worth it I'd say. It feels super sturdy and well put-together. And the acrylic blade is SHARP.

Wow! Gorgeous soap! I agree with judymoody- it looks like high-end marble. I especially love the deep purple you achieved. In a word- stunning. :)

I have that same acrylic soap planer/beveler. The planer part on mine works great- it gives me nice, straight edges (at last so far).
