So I've made 2 lovely batches of soap so far. They've come out beautifully. The recipe I used was :
25% Coconut
60% Olive
15% Soybean

Been playing with some color from Micheal's. Got a very nice rose in one batch and the other is a purple and white almost swirl. I used a 3in pvc pipe as a mold and poured the two colors at the same time. Interesting effect. (Got the idea from watching Billie and Wayne's video on youtube. Thanks Lovelies!) I'll get photos added in here as soon as I can. Mine keep coming out really bad. The colors are totally off. DH is much better with a camera.

Have a couple questions now. I picked up some palm kernel oil in a small soap shop in Colombia. I was wondering what a good recipe to work it in with what I have would be?

And also, I'm looking to buy a log mold. DH isn't all that handy. He tries. He cut up the pvc pipe for me to use and all the ends came out at about 45 degree angles. He couldn't straighten them. He tried. Hehe. Anyways, I was wondering if you lovelies had a suggestion as to where to get a good one. I found this site and was wondering if anyone had purchased from them before. http://www.candlesandwoodcrafts.com/woo ... molds.html

Oh! And one more thing. My next venture is going to be beer soap. My step father in law makes beer and I'd like to surprise him and my mother in law with some soap made from his beer. Does anyone have any pointers, anything I should know before I try this? And I was thinking about scenting it with lemon grass. Think this will work ok? And do you have any suggestions as to where to buy good eos and fos from?

Ok, think I'm done with my book now. Thanks for reading and any help you might give me! :D

i have purchased 3 of their wooden molds. they are ok, not too bad. i got the ones that had hinges and wooden pegs, these were pretty good, and i like them. you just have to line them, i line mine with freezer paper.
