Hello everybody!

I am new to this forum and new to soapmaking. I've been reading about soapmaking for a month now, and in 2 days I going to make my first batch. I'll make my own solid shampoo. I read some posts here and found out some unpleasant things.

First, I want my shampoo to have a lot of castor oil 20%, then coconut 20-25% for cleansing, olive 20%, palm oil 10%, sunflower, shea butter and maybe superfat it with some avocado. Now, this recipe is from a website -I can't remember the name, it was a long time ago I wrote it down, and contains stearic acid - 20 grams/1 kg of soap, because of the castor oil that would make the soap too soft, I guess, right?

So, in my reading on the forum I found out that too much castor oil may lead to seizing, not to mention adding stearic acid which would make my batch instantly stone. What do you think? Can you help me with that? Is the recipe ok or I should try another?

I would appreciate any advice from you, guys! Thanks a lot in advance!
