Here is what we are calling Tea for Two. Made with brewed tea and some tea leaves thrown in for fun. This is my first embed attempt and now I cannot stop.

I call this one Roasted. It is made with brewed coffee and has coffee grounds in it. It is my man bar, made with lard. I love this one too

This one is made with tomato juice from my canning jars. Since I do not use all the water I decided why not use it in the soap. Now for some embeds of some sort right?

really nice soaps! I specially like the photography and soaps in the patchouli flax one. Is flax exfoliating?

The seeds are ground up and yes, they are but not overly so. My friend who says the coffee tears her up does not have that problem with flax seeds. I just had a bunch and figured I would throw them in the mix. Turns out I love 'em!

Thanks for the compliments. I took the pics myself but followed the advice of some link, cannot remember which one;)

Beautiful soaps and beautiful photos! I love your dark soaps. Must include making soap with tea on my 'to do' list.

LOVE the idea of your tea soap! And your embed turned out nice. I like the contrast between the white and the dark color of the surrounding soap.

Thank you ladies! The tea is just regular old green tea that I brewed then boiled it down for a darker shade. I just did a batch with a lighter shade(did not boil the tea down) and embeds just on the top layer, looks cool but I do like the dark/light contrast better.

awesome! how did you make those rounds embeds?

i tried to make some in .5" and 1" pvs pipes but i CANT GET THEM OUT! lol. your soaps are way cute.

Thanks! Your soaps are super amazing, I just looked at them. Gorgeous!

For the embeds, I made a small batch of totally plain base soap. After the 24 hr sleep, I rolled it up into small balls of varying sizes. The next day, or once the balls seem hard enough to handle a light push into a medium trace soap, I made my tea based soap, same recipe as the balls just made with tea, and popped the embeds in.

I did try using small PVC pipe once to get a circle within a circle but it was messy! So I decided to try it this way and I do like it much better because you can make it more random plus I like circles contrasting with squares or rectangles. I will go back to the double PVC pipe soon once I figure out what batch size the 1" pipe holds. :)

I look forward to seeing more of your soaps, gives me something to strive for

Very cool! I actually prefer the lumpy rounds instead of the perfect piped ones, these are so charming. You've got great ideas here, and the color from the tomato juice is great. Keep posting! I look forward to more :)

I look forward to more from you as well, cheers!

Gorgeous soaps :)

Your 2nd one looks a lot like my green tea soap, which I call "Drink Me"

Thanks! The partial gel was a super bummer but oh well, I learned, finally
