Mustard Oil & Sesame Oil

Our local supermarket stocks mustard oil and sesame oil at a reasonable price. Has anyone used either in CP soap, and what were they like please? I haven't seen them mentioned much on this forum.

I have never used sesame oil in soap but I have used mustard oil. The most I ever used is 10% because I was worried about the effects it might have. The soaps are fine. You could not tell there was a different oil from the usual ones so, I would say to you "Go for it".

A friend of mine made soap with sesame oil, and said it retained some of the nutty scent.

No personal experience, but I do remember someone has done a "beldi" soap (a gel-type soap made with KOH) that called for mustard oil. MsMolly, I believe it was. Maybe she'll speak up on this thread...
