More Newbie Questions

I’ve never posted here, but everyone seems so nice, so I decided to.

After much research, I’ve decided to make my first RTCP batch next week. I’m so excited! I have some questions (like every newbie does), and you all seem like experts!

When melting my oil, do you put everything into the pot at once, and melt together?
Also this is my recipe. I’m hoping that it sounds ok. I ran it through soapcalc.

Crisco 29%
Olive Oil 26%
Coconut Oil 24%
Lard 15%
Castor Oil 6%

Hardness 37
Cleansing 16
Conditioning 58
Bubbly 22
Creamy 26

Congratulations on starting out with using soapcalc. It can be daunting at first, so you are well on your way! Your recipe looks good with a good combination of what you need. Good one to start with and experiment from there!

Yes, you would melt all oils together. Good luck and please post pics when you are done! Welcome to the addiction :wink:
