While on here this morning dh calmly calls to me to come and get the guinea pigs in their cage as they were running around the backyard. I go downstairs to find a trail of blood in the kitchen and out the yard. Can't find dh, panic sets in - try the find pigs - finally down the back near the vege patch. I'm sick to the stomach and dh says its alright they're still attached  . He'd been cutting a wire door to size with a circular saw and cut his fingers - I don't look as I 'll end up collapsing. Mind you he patched it up himself with bandages.
OK, I said do I call an ambulance - no, so I drive to the hospital. Get every red light there :x .Drop him at the door to ER and go to find a parking spot. Long story short - x rays, no bones broken but the skin is hacked because of the blade and he has to keep the bandages on for a week.
He's OK and I'm a wreck, I went in with him and started to get all clammy like I was going to faint (my usual) so ended up going outside in the waiting room. I was white when I walked in there anyway. Dh's main prob was me fainting. I thought I did OK by getting him down there. He's now out the back again using the planer  . Lucky I dyed my hair on Tuesday as its probably white underneath now and not grey.

Thanks for listening

Oh my goodness, you did amazingly well, I would have burst out crying. Last year DD minced her finger up with a stick blender, oh my goodness, i'm telling ya, she and DH thought it was the best thing since sliced bread when they got home checking out the mess she'd made, the Dr couldn't even dtitch the thing up it was so minced

I'm glad your husband is o.k., just keep a close eye on him, you know what these men are like with their tools they can think they're "Invincible"

Oh geepers ... thankfully your hubby is ok ... phew ... a story with a happy (if somewhat scary) ending!

Sounds like your hubby was very lucky you were home and able to transport him to the hospital!

the words "blood" and "saw" don't belong in the same story. glad he is ok. glad YOU are ok too! you are a real trooper!

Wow! What an experience! You did amazing well. I think most of the gray wives have are from our dh's antics and the worrying it comes with it, but that is why god created "Clairol"

Yep, the pigs got back in their cage, they were very good and ran back in there themselves. Had to catch Ellie bun also, she wasn't sure what was going on . I don't feel I helped too much and came to the rescue, he always has to patch himself up  . I didn't break down 'til I went to bed last night and I'm worn out today. Blood and saw don't really go together do they. BTW - I ate 3/4 bag of jelly frogs when I got home  - needed sugar in the system.
Dh, is accident prone - I could give you a list but I'd be here forever  .
He doesn't have small ones they are all major - years ago he was in water with a jackhammer and cut through an underground cable with 11,000 volts of electricity  . Nothing by halves in this house.

I can see why you get upset if he is that accident prone! Then acts like it is no big deal! You poor thing, you should have eaten that whole bag of frogs. :(
