Since each cavity holds 4 oz, the entire mold holds no more than 48 oz... so you will need to reduce your recipe size, including the amount of salt... or buy two molds. ;)

So 21 oz of the salt will be about half what fits in the mold? So I need 37 oz of everything else right? Sorry for the stupid questions! :)

Ok, pic up. So does this look right then?

The soaping oil recipe I have is 42 oz of oils with a total oz of product at about 66 oz. Will this mold hold that with the addition of 50% salt? I don't want to screw up a purchase. Thanks!

I use the same mold,
coconut oil 75 oz
lard 25 oz
Water: oil 34%
SF 20%
Salt: oil 50%
made 34 Bars.

Therefore 12 bars would require 35 oz oils

I am just going with what Brambleberry said and that was it was a total of 48 oz with lye, water, salt, etc. So I think I got it finally! LOL

Not gonna try to help with the batch size, but I will say that I use that mold for my salt bars and it works great. I use 75% and higher salt and I just have to watch the corners when unmolding. So far very durable as well.
