Mica Stars

I am just now starting to use mica. I only make CP soap. If I did a dark blue background and put a sprinkle of white gold (WSP) in it would it look starry? If so how much for the stars?

No it won't. The colors will mix. You're better off creating a white gold soap and shaving it into small pieces. Though I imagine there are better ways to do it than that.

Yes. I wonder what they mean by cooking salt? Coarse salt?

I am pretty sure they mean just regular, fine grain, cooking salt. Course salt will be too harsh on the skin. Nearly sure I read that in salt bar threads.

I know some makers finish the bar with a spattering of TD from a toothbrush to make stars. They wet the brush with the TD/water mixture and flick it onto the bar.

You could do a similar technique with alcohol and mica

I agree. But I must say the mica worked. I don't know if it will show in the picture. This is my Campfire soap.
