Another lesson learned (poured too thick)...

I posted the whole "story" on my blog with lots more pictures (link in sig) where the air bubbles are easier to see

I'm not making fun of your air bubbles, or your soap, as I think they're all beautiful. I especially like the one you made with Peak's Winter Wonderland. But I had to laugh. A friend of mine always talks about people (companies) giving you less but charging you more. (He calls it the office of you f' em).

Anyway, I saw some new Hershey's Kisses at WalMart the other day that have "air bubbles" on the inside. A new marketing trick for them, I guess. I didn't check the price to see if they were more expensive than the solid ones. So, if it works for them, why wouldn't it for you?

LOL thank you :) I admit to buying one of those (I have a 16 year old daughter who is easily bribed to babysit with chocolate) and they taste just like... a Hershey's bar.

I saw a graph recently about how much smaller packages are, but how much more you have to pay... very sneaky companies, doing it gradually so people don't notice the package size/weight change.

Fabulous soaps Amy! Love the colour you achieved with the blue altramarine.

I use BB oatmeal stout in my beer soap ... looks so very different to yours! Love your look, using the cocoa!

Thanks Lyn :)

I love your Oatmeal Stout Dragonkaz...what do you think of the smell? I was getting a spicy vanilla ice cream aroma for a bit, but now I'm not sure!

It's an interesting smell ... it makes me think of an oaty breakfast and most people who smell it say they want to eat it, that it reminds them of yummie food.

This FO has stuck well so far ... think I made my first batch of beer soap 4-5 months ago.

I love the look of that first soap. Makes me think of frost on the window.
Pumpkin Spice sounds really interesting, but then I'm also eager for fall :)

I've heard (don't quote me on this, but I swear I remember reading it somewhere) is that the reason candy makers are putting air in the chocolate is because the price of cocoa beans is up
