Making soap whilst pregnant

Hi There,

I'm new to soap making and have just made my first melt and pour batch.

I'm 5 months pregnant and just wondered if I'm even supposed to be making soap? The fragrance oil was so strong and also the Isopropyl Alcohol.

I know some instructors will not accept pregnant customers in workshops because of the saturation of EOs and FOs...I'd suggest checking with a health care specialist: you don't want to take any chances!

I agree, check w/ your Dr or midwife. Your babies health is too important to trust strangers opinions on a forum.

Don;t worry I wouldn;t have just taken anyones answer as gospel, I just wondered if there was any other woman out there who had been pregnant and already knew the answer.

I checked with my midwife and she said as long as the area is well ventilated it should be fine so I've been spraying in the garden!
