Trying to make shampoo bars for the first time, I bought the recipe from DIY B&B/Etsy (the regular, not hot pour one) after seeing all the reviews here. I was hoping to find something a bit more moisturizing, my hair was a bit dry after using it, as it usually is without a conditioner (which in turn, can make it feel a bit oily.) The end goal is to find a shampoo bar that is conditioning enough by itself that my hair doesn't feel dry or have any frizzies after washing with it.
Can I just add a little bit of butter or oil at a time in fine-tuning this recipe since it won't effect the PH to do so with non-water based ingredients? I realize it will affect the bar texture/emulsification but will it throw things out of whack otherwise? I was thinking of something hair/scalp friendly like argan/abyssinian/jojoba/mango butter.
