Hello,
I'm brand-new to this forum and to soapmaking. I am making my first batch of soap from soap scraps that I'd grated or cut up. I had 20 ounces of scraps and added 12 ounces of water -- clearly that was way too much, because rather than looking like mashed potatoes, it's more like thick-ish cake batter. There are still some pieces, so I'm keeping it on the double boiler for a little longer.
Any suggestions for making this thicker? More time on the stove? Something I can add? Or will it set in the molds but just take longer?
I appreciate any recommendations or suggestions!
Thank you
