Made perfect bath bombs.

I made perfect bath bombs last night without having to keep trying. My question is I made them with C.Acid, B. Soda and Epsom Salt. In the past I have made them with Corn Starch. The ones without cornstarch feel heavier and rougher.
Does anyone know?
