ok i made some almond/coconut cp in plastic mold, i wrapped it up like a baby and put it in warm oven, hoping it will gel, when should i take it out of there?

I usually preheat the oven to 170 and turn it off when I put the soap in.

carebear, when do i take it out? morning, i just put it in about 8p.

I generally leave it in all night, but sometimes I peek. If it looks sweaty or anything I take it out, or at least open the door a tich.

Also, I don't cover my molds when they are in the oven or it tends to overheat.

carebear, i did uncover the molds, it was too warm, it worked, they look SO good, pale yellow, in a molds that says "handmade", and almond smells SO good. thamks for your advice. They came right out of molds this am!

I've used the CPOP method twice, but only used the oven light for heat. Left the platic molds in overnight with the light on 7 hours of that time. I like that the soap isn't caustic when taken out of the oven in the morning.

The last time I used my plastic molds, I melted them because I forgot to turn the oven off.....DUMB DUMB DUMB....I knew better too. :(
