My son just found out today that he got denied entrance into the Navy, due to poor eyesight. He's been wanting to join the Navy for God knows how long. My hearts been in my throat for him all day..especially since I'm the one he inherited his poor eyesight from

Trying to cheer myself up and move on, everything happens for a reason...right??

Sorry to hear of your heartache for you son can understand as my son has horrid eyesight and we are forever changing his prescription on his glasses............At thirteen he is wearing bifocals thank goodness with todays technology there is no evidence of them being so or he might get teased somewhat. I have his dad to blame as same condition at the same early age.

Lyn, I so feel your pain, months of patching and then eye surgery for my son four years of age and he's been dealing with it ever since. I don't even know why I thought he could get into the Navy when I think about it now, I should've known. But..at the boys can see and function, right! Could be much worse.
