My lotions seem to be settling a little more than normal.

When I pour, I fill the bottle up. The temperature is usually about 100 (maybe 105) degrees when I pour. About an hour or two later after cooling, I now only have about 3/4 of a bottle full of lotion.

I have about 10% liquid oils, 4% Stearic, 6% Emulsifying Wax, 5% butters, and the rest is H2O.

I feel like this has never done this before, but I cannot pinpoint anything that has changed.

Any tips are appreciated.

Thanks!

It seems like entrapped air (bubbles) is coming out of the lotion. Are you using a new stirrer/ stirring technique that would possibly aerate the lotion?

If you had a previous batch of lotion you could try and compare the density (specific gravity) of the lotions. A lotion with lot of aeration would have a lower specific gravity.

Hope this helps. :)

Funny you ask. A few months back, I did get a new stick blender.
You think that could cause this problem?
