Does anybody make their own lotions (not pre-made bases) and sell them? What kind of testing do you do/ does need to be done before they can be sold to customers?
What are the regulations in regards to lotions, etc?

TIA
Karin

I make my own, I'd like to sell it, but I still have unresolved issues.

Once I got the recipe just right I sent it off for challenge testing. The cost was high, over $300.00. It came back OK. That was a year ago, and I've changed my recipe a bazillion times. I'm still struggling with the question of whether to make and test or just buy a base.

Has anyone used the Chek-it test kit from Snowdrift Farms?

As far as I know there is no regulations in the US for selling a lotion. Unless you make a medical claim, like heals eczema.

Ha! I actually was going to order the Chek-It kit but was worried there might be regulations exceeding that and then it would be kind of a waste.
