I been making my own lotion since 2008 and I never buy any lotion or face cream anymore. This is my meadowfoam and manuka lotion.

That looks lovely Biarine, I am hoping to be able to do the same, making lotions and face cream.

I have to stop reading this part of the forum. You guys are going to convince me to try lotion making!

Yes you must do like soap making this is very interesting too

with your manuka lotion, did you actually use real honey or powdered one?

I love making lotion... I went as far as buying a pot still so I can make flower waters using local botanicals to combine with the oils I use. I've a lovely chamomile and rose hip one, and a Gardeners Therapy hand cream using linden blossom and white tea extract. It also means I can use some lovely EOs that wouldn't last in CP soap, like pink grapefruit, or vanilla. Yummy :-D

Wow that seems very good I don't use really like linden blossom too expensive. I am sure it's very good scent. I love floral water I order it online.

Are you DISTILLING the plants in this process? That is fascinating! How well does your pot still work? I have tried to distill lemongrass on the stove with an inverted pot lid and a bowl inside. It captures an essence of the leaf. But I have heard you need to triple distill and I keep burning mine.i have an herb garden and I try to use as much as possible from it in my soaps and potions. Oh do tell!

No I never distilled floral water I just buy them distilling your own takes time and more works
