Wow, that's a great site you've got there. It is yours, right? Cuz that's where the ingredient list came from. Hope you find your recipe since it's a lovely site and it'd be too bad if you couldn't continue selling!

Or is it that you want to reverse-engineer their product? Which is no biggie.

No, not my site
I have been reffered to it before tho, they don’t list a recipie, the site I had in the past did
I suppose to reverse engineer that particular recipe would be helpful and then from there I could tweak? But I just don’t know how or what the measurements are or how to figure them out. Trust me im not trying to sell mine or step on anyones toes. If anyone has any insight it would be so appreciated

Reverse engineering a product takes a knowledge of your ingredients and lots of trial and error.

In this case it looks like just butters and oils blended with salt and sugar so there's really no "technology" involved - you'll just have to play.

In theory the ingredients would be listed in order from most to least, but I wouldn't necessarily count on that.

some good old fashion experimenting with very small 100 gram totals seems like it could help you find the right recipe and overall feel you had before.

Let us know how it goes for you

thank you all..it seems like im getting close to somewhere, but id always be open to hearing suggestions-right now its all too liquidy-trial and error :)

is that your site?

it looks pretty easy to recreate... I would just play around until you come up with something similar... lol.

whoa!!!! maybe i'm reading something wrong, but $2 each for a one-time hand wash? they do look yummy, but somebody please tell me i'm reading this wrong!

they are little scrub bars - not just soap. but they are cute, portable, and beautifully packaged. and fairly uniquie. which increases the value.

if they sell for that price, great.

i can see why someone would want to copy them.

this is a recipe that uses gylcerine soap and sugar, oils and EO...I substituted some of the sugar with salt. Put them in ice cube trays. I also just used oils I had on hand. CO, Shea butter, Sunflower and Vit E.

I came across this post earlier and you inspired me to give it a try :) I'm out of lye and can't make soap.

This is how they turned out....

I just tried my hand at sugar scrub cubes too and LOVE them! I found the recipe on I believe soapqueen.. It was just mp soap (they recommend glycerin but I only had GM base), oil (I used jojoba) sugar, and FO. Should there be any suds with these? I was bored so I made them for me and my hunny (because I'm tired of him complaining about his winter dry after shower skin lol). I've never used one before so I wasn't sure if it would suds or not. Mine had zero.. I don't feel clean without suds, so I use the scrub after washing. Nice feel with the oil!
