Only one detailed i found was this one.

http://candleandsoap.about.com/od/begin ... mold_2.htm

I currently use plastic molds i got from the EO/LYE supplier as well as some Tupperware containers i use.

I used a large cardboard box lined with wax paper but the box was large and the soap too thin as a result (spread out too much) I used a 3liter bottle of oil so it was alot of soap but nevertheless. I might try a shoebox if i dont find good plans.

Also, are there any drawbacks to these wooden molds?

I want to do a large loaf style.

If anyone has any good free plans let me know.

If you go to the SMF Tutorials there are videos on how to make wooden soap moulds. I haven't found any draw backs on a wooden mould.

I will sell you mine for $20 plus shipping (maybe $12 shipping?). I originally bought one but it was measured wrong so I exchanged it for a new one. Just wanted my money back, but they would only do an exchange :( I found a mold I like better, so I have no use for this one. This one is made properly and even, so you should have no problem. Let me know if interested.

Here's a link to it on ebay.

I'm curious, what's the liner made of? And does it adhere to the box and/or is it removable?

In theory it looks nice.
