Stupid magpie (over friendly aussie bird) came in through the doggy door today & **** on my laptop keyboard.
My brand new laptop is now dead.
The warranty will not cover it. Its classified as moisture damage apparantly.

Back to sharing with the kids on the snail slow oldie.

I'm off to wallow in my misery.

Wow Nattynoo ... how on earth did that happen?

I was grizzling at a maggy at the weekend coz it swooped me and I really loathe the noise those wings make as they pass by soooooooo close to your ears. I have magpies nesting in a gum next door ... just a few metres from my clothesline. Think I might put my 'inside' clothesline outside in my carport, so I don't have to go near the clothesline until those babies have been born and left the nest!

Any hope for your laptop recovering? Sorry this has happened ... definitely sending sympathy your way!

I know it's not funny at all, but I cannot stop laughing.

I'm sorry!

Its dried out overnight and I've managed to get an external keyboard going on it..... thats a start. Still not happy. Will put it in & see if I can get it fixed. Hopefully its just the keyboard that had shorted out.

Its my own fault with the magpie Kat. We feed them. They are very tame. They live here and have babies every year. They're not aggressive one bit. Last year they had 3 babies. I don't know if its such a good idea anymore.

Thanks girls.

im sorry for your loss.
but it is hilarious.

i think you should continue feeding them. it's not like she meant to do it! hehe

im sure it will fix right up :) stay positive

It is kinda funny .... today.... it wasn't yesterday.
They are lovely birds and thus the reason we were feeding them.
They practically eat out of our hands even when they have babies at foot and this is when they are the most aggressive. We don't have a dog anymore so I think I'll just cover over the doggy door...laugh.

:( oooh! that sucks!

you did remind me of a joke though...

There are two statues in a park; one of a nude
man and one of a nude woman. They had been facing each other
across a pathway for a hundred years, when one day an angel comes
down from the sky and, with a single gesture, brings the two to life.

The angel tells them, 'As a reward for being
so patient through a hundred blazing summers and dismal
winters, you have been given life for thirty minutes to do what you've
wished to do the most.'

He looks at her, she looks at him, and they go
running behind the shrubbery..

The angel waits patiently as the bushes rustle
and giggling ensues.
After fifteen minutes, the two return, out of
breath and laughing.
The angel tells them, 'Um, you have fifteen
minutes left, would you care to do it again?'

He asks her 'Shall we?'
She eagerly replies, 'Oh, yes, let's! But
let's change positions. This time, I'll hold the pigeon
down and you **** on its
head.'

Nat, I can just imagine the poor maggie now after you have taped up the doggy door when she tries to get through. Ouch.

I washed my husbands work clothes 2 wks ago with his work phone in it - he just told them at work it was my fault and got another. What he didn't say was - my wife doesn't go through pants pockets before washing,(never have). I did ask are they right to get washed.Yep was the answer.

Relle.

Hubbys work phone rings ALLLLLL day long as does his co workers phones. It sends me stupid when he's on break. One of the co-workers wives ACCIDENTLY washed his phone. I said "yeah right it was an accident"!!!!

LoL sorry Natt !!!!! I am laffin too, I can just imagine it happening as we also care for Magpies here until they fly, Mum & Dad boot them outta the nest too early & know we will care for them , lil buggers lol......But yeah what is trhe chance of it happening.....I do sympathsize with u haveing to share a PC with kids

Sorry to hear it. If it works with an external keyboard, you should be able to just replace the one in the laptop and be good to go. Of course, that is infuriating when you just bought the thing.

I don't check pockets or anything when I do laundry in my house. I tell em, it's just as much of a pain in the butt for me as it is for you, so I'm not doing your job. I won't pull apart clothes that are taken off together either. I really don't want to peel my step-daughter's underwear from her pants, so when she's lazy, they go right back on her bed until she fixes it for next week's laundry.

Just think....of ALL the things it could have taken a **** on?????? What are the chances that it would do it on something that an be immediately ruined because of it? That bird knew exactly what he was doing...LOL!
