Liquid soap vs liquefied bar soap?

What is the difference between the two? Suppose it's for making laundry soap/handwashing soap/dishwashing soap, would one soap be better than other kind? I've never made a liquid soap from KOH before, so I'm not really sure what the difference is.

I do want my soap to be bubbly, but the color (opaque or not) wouldn't be a problem for me.

The above information is great to review.

Adding water to bars soap will make a snotty stringy soap. Also, if using for washing you don't want a SF in the soap.
