Liquid soap testing

I created a different thread a few weeks ago asking about liquid goat milk soap. A few of you mentioned preservatives being a must. Can any of you explain the process of how to test my soap for yuckies growing even with a preservative ? Do you send to a lab? Is there a kit that Can be ordered? I'm still not making it but I'm trying to get my ducks in a row before i get started
