Hi all, I would like to start making liquid soaps, but would like to read more about it first. I've read the Liquid Soap book by Catherine Failor and would like to try her recipes, but think they are too big for test batches.

Do any of you have recommendations for me? Thanks so mcuh.

take one of the recipes you like and put it into soap calc at a smaller batch size. :)

soapcalc will calculate for potassium hydroxide? I hadn't really seen much feedback regarding soapcalc and liquid soaps on this forum. I'd like to try it this way if it works.

yes, just change from NaOH to KOH. :)

I make one that is just CO, I use 24 oz of it, run it through soapcalc. I use it for dish soap and hand soap in a pinch. I make it in a crock pot. I add 24 oz or more of water to the soap paste. Make it to the thick or more watery soap. Good luck!
