I made liquid soap many times, always turn out good. Tonite I was showing someone how to make liquid soap, as soon as I added the lye to the oil, it separated and no way could I stick blend it together. Then I steamed it, I did not use a crockpot, it volcano. Then there were solid pieces of soap and couldn’t stick blend them back. Put it in the crockpot, but still the same. The 2nd batch separated too as soon as I added lye to oil , but I managed to stick blend them back. After I steam it, it turned white and stayed like that, and very soft. I put it in the crockpot to cook and nothing changed. Really frustrated and just left them. Can any one tell me what went wrong? Know it’s long. Thanks for any advice.

It’s 80%coconut oil and 20% rice bran oil. Did run my recipe through Soap cal
