Has anyone ever made fabric softener? I found a recipe online that uses Suave conditioner, vinegar and water. I was hoping to avoid the chemicals, and bypass the conditioner, going right to the active ingredient. I'm not positive, but I believe this to be lecithin. I have read that lecithin has anti-static properties, and I know it is softening as it is used as a base in some homemade hair conditioners. Does anyone have any experience with this? Please keep things simple for me as I am brand new to soap making. I've only made one batch of CP soap so far. Thanks in advance!

I would be really interested to know if anyone has tried this! I have some lecithin granules sitting around. I may look around a bit for this later.

Looks simple. Distiller or deionized water with caustic added to increase the pH. Add lecithin. Bring pH back to neutral with an acid.

Lecithin isn't cheap, though.

Let us know if you make it.
