i usually make soap with lard, castor oil, olive oil and coconut oil. i was just curious how the soap would turn out of i didn't include any coconut oil. has anyone ever tried this??

start off by doing a recipe with soapcalc.net etc to make something that makes you happy. i have done a OO and Lard and Castor before and i liked it. it was not as bubbly as one with CO but i am happy with how it treated my skin. :)

really surprised this topic hasn't received more love

i'll stir things up for ya :)
COCONUT OIL IS OVER RATED! <imho>

in my limited experience: the lather is light, airy, thin. i love the dense, creamy, stable lather of beef tallow at 20-30% combined with lard or palm + olive.
i haven't use PKO ........................yet
