help! i cut my loaf and my layers are falling apart! i sprayed with alcohol so i dont understand why its happening

Just a couple of things come to mind about what might have affected your soap. How long did you wait until you poured one layer upon the other? Really only need to wait until a tough skin forms on the bottom layer and then spritz with alcohol and pour the next layer. Do that for each layer. I rarely refrigerate when making doing embeds and laers. Did you use the same base for all of the layers? Don't know if this helps, sorry about your soap.

is it possible i waited too long? my loaf was too shallow so i melted more and added another like quarter inch to top

Yes I think it imight be possible that you waited too long. I have always followed the directions to pour the second layer as soon as a good skin formed on the bottom layer. I think it is best to have your soaps melted and as ready as much as possible before you start pouring.

Yikes, when I make layers I just go for it...I dont wait or spray anything!

Yeah, I have done most of my MP layers pretty quick also. I do take the time to spray the tops but then get right in with the next layer.

its a balance isn't it!! don't want to wait too long, don't want to pour too quickly for fear of melting the prior layer/s... i have been practicing and noticing it gets better :)
