lavender buds

Recently made a patchouli lavender soap with lavender buds on top. Sprayed the heck out of the buds with alcohol and darned if they didn't keep their color! This was a great tip!

A cheap, pretty additive to soaps is - HERBAL TEA bag contents! I have tried chammomile and rooibus plus anything with hibiscus to provide crimson stains. As far as ooomphing the perceived nicities on the label-green tea would be appreciated by many due to antioxidant appeal.

I love sprinkling herbs, or oats on tops of fresh made soaps. Another one that's pretty and always holds it's color (even when added to soap) is calendula petals.
